From the USGS National Geologic Map Database, this historic topographic map is the Feb. 1915 edition of the Houghton Quadrangle, with contour intervals every 20 feet, surveyed between 1908 and 1912, showing an area approximately 12 miles wide by 17 miles high with bodies of water, marshlands, roads, electrical transmission lines, mines, and structures. Includes the communities of Houghton, Hancock, Chassell, Painesdale, Trimountain, Southridge, Dodgeville, Atlantic Mine, Ripley, Coburntown, Boston, and Concord.
