National Geologic Map Database, U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY, MINNESOTA MINNEAPOLIS SHEET, from the 15-minute series, showing West 93°15'to 93°30' and North 44°45' to 45°00', survey of the Southwest section of Minneapolis proper (including the Mississippi River and the Nicollet Island) and the cities of St. Louis Park, West Minneapolis, and Hopkins, along with the then-rural communities of Plymouth, Crystal Lake, Minnetonka, Golden Valley, Richfield, Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Eagle Creek and Glendale (now Savage), Burnsville, and Lebanon (now Eagan). This map shows the chain of lakes in Minneapolis and the Minnesota River.

Contour Interval 20 feet; Datum is mean Sea level . Edition of Oct. 1896. With stamp: "U.S.G.S. FILE COPY Editor of Topographic Maps.", the stamp: "USGS Historical File Topographic Division", and hand-writing: "Dec. 14, 1896", the number "500", and "Minneapolis Minn". ("Minneapolis Minn" is outside of the safe area for printing and may be partially cut off. Other redundant stamps, scribbles, mars, and marks have been digitally erased, and a light digital restoration has been performed to darken some text, roads, and grids.
